Our Culture

As a member of the North Shore Healthcare family, our center’s dedicated healthcare professionals strive to deliver quality care to those who have chosen us. Sturgeon Bay Health Services’ goal is to create an environment that affords our residents the opportunity to be a partner in the care they receive, to develop trusting relationships with our caregivers, and to reach their highest level of independence. We are passionate about making our center The Right Choice for you or your loved one.

We have been serving Sturgeon Bay and surrounding communities for more than 40 years.

We recently were awarded a 2019 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The Award Program has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. As a recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award, we may now move forward in developing approaches and achieving performance levels that meet the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award criteria.

Leadership Team

Executive Director – David Mueller

“I have worked in the healthcare field for more than 25 years. This career path continues to give me opportunities to improve the quality of life for those who are entrusted in my care. As Executive Director, I honor that by having a team who provides the best care available to our residents.”

Social Services Director–Brooklyn Dachelet

“My favorite part of working in skilled nursing is the relationships you build with residents and their families. I take pride in aiding residents, at some of their lowest points, motivation to direct their care, promote autonomy and self-determination. It is always special to see residents succeed and reach their goals.”

Director of Therapy–Vince Pederson

“I enjoy working with the residents, their family members and staff. Together we piece together all the information to provide an individualized care plan to target their goals. Seeing residents being upgraded to regular solids or thin liquids and enjoy simple things like a glass of plain water is rewarding.”

Director of Nursing–Jacquelyn Fay

“I have spent most of my career working with the elderly. It is rewarding to help in making the lives of our residents the best they can be.”
